The Guide to the Licensing World is produced by DJ Publishing Ltd, an internationally renowned publishing house based in Great Britain.
The Guide to the Licensing World was first published in 1993 and has stood the test of time so well that it is now the only truly international printed reference directory available to the industry.
Referencing characters, brands, TV, films, personalities, legends, sports teams and just about anything else that is currently being licensed, it tells you country by country who are the agents controlling the merchandising rights as well as the major licensees in over 70 countries. Licensees can find the contacts they need to negotiate for that hot new property; licensors and agents can find the third party representation they are looking for in other territories; and the retailers and distributors can go direct to the licensee for that all important product.
The services sections of the Guide give users access to a whole range of specialist companies to help steer them through the whole process: the consultant to advise; the IP lawyer to oversee contracts; the graphic designers to produce style guides; and the product designers to create that new concept.
In 2007 the Guide added searchable online databases to its portfolio to provide additional information to subscribers throughout the year. In addition a recent section on our website for press releases allows free access to all the up-to-date news.
Giving people the information they need to progress is key to driving the licensing industry forward, and we are happy to continue doing this as we move towards publishing our nineteenth edition in January.
