Sprout signs up
LazyTown
The deal includes LazyTown Series 1 & 2
and LazyTown Extra
LazyTown has a new U.S. broadcast partner in 24-hour
preschool television channel Sprout, joining the network’s
stellar line-up that includes Sesame Street®, Barney &
Friends™, Thomas & Friends™ and The Wiggles®. The show will begin airing daily exclusively in the U.S. on Sprout
this September.
The deal includes LazyTown Series 1 & 2 and LazyTown Extra.
Additionally, LazyTown will be included on Sprout’s VODservice, as well as its website SproutOnline.com where they will
feature a host of LazyTown games and colouring pages to broaden
the programme’s reach and engage children in the show when
it’s not on air.
LazyTown makes health fun for kids, and is also a tool for parents to raise healthy kids. The partnership with Sprout is directly on-brand for LazyTown as Sprout was the #1 kids network in appeal
among moms of kids 2-5 according to the most recent Fall 2010
Marketing Evaluations QScore study, and has more moms viewing
than any other kids cable network (Nielsen Media Research, 1Q2011,
W18-49 with P2-11 VPVH). Parents and children will be able to
watch and interact together with LazyTown more than ever
before.
LazyTown content will also be featured on Sprout’s Video on Demand platform, which is consistently a Top 5 performer amongst
all free video on demand services with an average of 17 Million
monthly VODorders, and also on SproutOnline.com, which averages
over 1 Million monthly unique visitors.

LazyTown App Reaches No. 1
The Lazytown's booclips app for the iPad
using Castle Builders' unique proprietary multimedia technology
reaches no. 1 within first week of release!
The LazyTown BooClips app, released April 20th, 2011 and available for download worldwide on iTunes, reached the 1st place on the Top Books Free iPad Apps charts on the US Appstore, and reached 2nd
place on the Top Free iPad Apps on the US Appstore. By doing so,
LazyTown’s BooClips app had passed iKindle, Barnes &
Noble’s, Disney’s Toy Story, Marvel, DC Comics,
Sesame St., Dr. Seuss, CNN, NASA, and even Angry Birds. In
addition, in 2 days it was elected by Apple, repeatedly, as #1 and
#2 on their New & Noteworthy charts.
Says Magnus Scheving, CEO and star of LazyTown, “This is our first foray into digital and we’re absolutely overwhelmed and
delighted at the success of the LazyTown BooClips, demonstrating
proof of concept and show’s endearing popularity. The app is
a fantastic tool to teach young children how to read and we're
100% behind it.”
Says Gili Abramovich of Castle Builders, “We are proud to have LazyTown as our partner on this magnificent app. Both of our
companies feel privileged to be included on Apple’s New and
Noteworthy category, and are thrilled by the staggering success of
our app on the charts. It is always a great motivation for us to
see parents who encourage their children to lead a healthy
lifestyle and to improve their reading skills, while doing so in a
fun and engaging way; that is the common ground for both our
companies and where they share their visions."
