Jeans for Genes and Chapman Entertainment, the creators of Fifi and the Flowertots, officially announce that denim, dungaree-wearing, Fifi Forget-Me-Not, has helped 750 nurseries throughout the UK raise over £40,000 for the charity following Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 1st October 2010.
Jeans for Genes Day is an annual fundraising day when millions of children and adults across the UK make a small donation to wear their jeans to work or school. The money raised on Jeans for Genes Day funds vital care and support for children and families affected by genetic disorders, and research into the causes and cures of these conditions.
Laura Pattison, Head of Marketing, Jeans for Genes says: “With the help of Fifi and her friends, Jeans for Genes were able to encourage British nurseries and parents with young children to take part in the Day with great flowertot activities and gorgeous£1 Fifi sticker sheets helping to raise over£40,000 to aid children with genetic disorders.”
Fifi Forget-Me-Not added, “With Christmas on its way, don’t fiddly flower petals forget to buy your Fifi and the Flowertots stickers. They are still available for£1 and are great stocking fillers which can really make a difference to children affected by genetic disorders’!”
Celebrity Mum, Nell McAndrew, helped launch the new Fifi and the Flowertots stickers earlier this year at the Windham Nursery in Richmond, London.
