BIG ANDSMALL “BACH A MAWR” SET TO PREMIERE ON S4C AND MAKE A BIG IMPACT IN WALES

 

The hit pre-school show will launch on the major Welsh broadcaster in April 2010 

 

Kindle Entertainment, the BAFTA nominated and award-winning independent production company, announces top-rated pre-school show, Big and Small will premiere on Welsh broadcaster S4C from April 2010.  All 52 episodes of the popular first series will air in Welsh as part of S4C’s dedicated programming strand for children aged under 6, Cyw. 

 

From April 2010, Big and Small will air during the Cyw service on weekdays at 12:30pm.  S4C are also purchasing the BAFTA award-winning 3D Big and Small website, which invites children to enter the house and engage with animated versions of the characters.  The microsite will be featured as part of the dedicated Cyw website for pre-school children.

 

Big and Small aims to open young children’s minds to a variety of outlooks on the world and encourage them to appreciate that people have many different ideas and opinions.  Each story revolves around the comedy of Big and Small’s contrasting approaches to life, they couldn’t be more different but together they create an explosion of laughs as well as some genuinely touching moments of friendship and understanding. 

 

Since premiering on CBeebies in October 2008, Big and Small has proved its popularity with children and parents across the UK and CBeebies, the BBC’s digital channel for under 6’s, has commissioned a new series of 26 episodes for the show.  Featuring the voices of Lenny Henry and Imelda Staunton, the series is currently airing daily on BBC One at 3:05pm and CBeebies at 4:00pm.

 

Outside the UK, Studio 100 have already successfully sold Big and Small broadcast to over 40 territories around the world.  A strong licensing programme also continues to develop with licenses secured across key product categories and major platforms including toys, publishing, apparel, DVD, lunchware and interactive
